"The Chicken or the Egg" is a book I created on the evolution of dinosaurs into modern-day birds. The spreads were created in InDesign, utilizing multiple paragraph styles and alignments. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to create the illustrations and pictures.

Sketches
The initial sketches and very early plans for the book's aesthetic, overall layout of the spreads, color palette, and fonts.
First Rough Draft
The first rough draft of the book, with simple layouts, placeholder text, and shapes. The printed drafts revealed issues with the color palette and readability.
Second Draft
After receiving feedback and test prints, the color palette, alignment, and spacing were adjusted. The font was also changed. The paragraph styles became more defined. Additional elements, including illustrations and images, were added.
Third Draft
After receiving more feedback and test prints, the color palette, alignment, and spacing were once again adjusted. White space was further addressed to make more efficient use of the spreads. Colors were adjusted to avoid repetition.
Final Spreads
After much contemplation, I decided to deviate from the green in favor of teal. Page variation was increased, and page numbers were added.
