For this project, I created conceptual photo illustrations based on the theme of the continued manipulation and dehumanization of women in modern society. The three images were created using Photoshop. I utilized image masks, adjustment layers, and the AI harmonizer.
Sketches
My initial idea for this project was to create images that called back to toys associated with femininity. These included a music box ballerina, stuffed dolls, and hand puppets.
Progression
Over the course of this project, I refined and further developed my initial concept. I ultimately made the decision that each image would include a large hand interfering with a woman in some way.
